🚨 Joe Kenda, legendary homicide investigator and one of the most respected voices in criminal investigation, is coming to CrimeCon 2026. After decades spent investigating hundreds of homicide cases with the Colorado Springs Police Department—and achieving a remarkable 92% clearance rate—Kenda’s work has left an indelible mark on modern homicide investigation.
Known to millions as the face behind Homicide Hunter, Kenda will take the stage in Las Vegas for a general session, with a separately ticketed experience also planned. For many in the CrimeCon community (including us), this is the appearance they’ve been waiting for—an opportunity to hear directly from a man whose cases, perspective, and voice have stayed with audiences long after the credits roll. More details will be announced in the coming weeks.
We’re excited to welcome the correspondents of 48 Hours to CC26! Erin Moriarty, Peter Van Sant, Anne-Marie Green, and Natalie Morales will take the stage together for a candid conversation about the cases that changed them. For decades, they’ve gone face-to-face with suspects, survivors, and those convicted of some of the most notorious crimes in America—asking the hard questions when the stakes couldn’t be higher.
Drawing from investigations across the country, including cases tied to Las Vegas, the team will share what it takes to pursue truth while honoring victims and their families. From chilling encounters to unexpected breakthroughs, this session offers a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the moments, and the responsibility, that come with telling these stories.
Former CIA officer Jason Hanson will bring real-world intelligence tradecraft to CC26. Drawing on his experience in covert operations and civilian training, Hanson focuses on practical strategies designed to help people recognize danger and respond under pressure.
From avoiding surveillance to escaping kidnappings and other violent crimes, Hanson will share techniques used by intelligence professionals—offering actionable insights anyone can use to stay safer in real-world situations.
Dr. Kent Kiehl, a leading neuroscientist and one of the world’s top researchers on psychopathy, will make his CrimeCon debut in Las Vegas. After scanning thousands of incarcerated offenders and building the world’s largest forensic neuroscience database, Kiehl has uncovered measurable brain differences linked to psychopathic traits and violent behavior. At CC26 he’ll take attendees inside the criminal brain to explore what neuroscience reveals about impulse control, violence, and whether criminal behavior can be predicted—or prevented.
